Caramel apple slices

A wonderful fall treat that you're going to love making, these caramel apple slices are a fast and fun way to make something you'll crave!

PREP TIME: 30 Minutes CHILL TIME: 30 Minutes

INGREDIENTS: – 5-10 cold whole apples – ½ cup  brown sugar – 2 teaspoon vanilla extract – Pinch of salt – 1 tablespoon coconut oil – 13 fl.oz coconut cream/ milk

Over high heat, combine the coconut milk and brown sugar. Stir this mixture continuously for 15 minutes until it begins to thicken. Remove the pot from the heat and add the vanilla, coconut oil and salt.

Leave the pot to cool off for a little while on the counter while you prepare the apples.

The prepare the apples, wash them then remove the seeds and cut them into slices or circles. To keep them from turning brown, you can lightly spritz them with lemon juice, if you're concerned about that.

Dip each of the apple slices in the caramel and place them on parchment paper. Decorate with chocolate chips, sprinkles or coconut chips.

Allow the apple slices to cool completely before serving.
